Every Child Matters

“The first four years of your Child’s life is crucial in forming the foundation from which they will develop. Choosing someone to care for your child during this time is one of the most important decisions you will make. I believe “Every Child Matters” and every child is a “Gift of Life”. So special and precious. Parents love for their children is all consuming and unconditional. I feel privileged every time a parent leaves a child in my care. It is a great responsibility and I take it incredibly seriously.

I promise you that your child will receive the best possible care in your absence that was afforded to my own children and the children of my staff. My team and I will provide a learning environment that will help your child grow happily in our hands. We will safeguard, nurture and develop your child in readiness for the challenges they will face in their future education.”

Taster Days

We want your child to be happy, and based on parental feedback, children who come for a Taster Day at Hericrèche have a happy and positive experience and always want to return.

To book your FREE Taster Day simply click on a day that suits you for your child’s taster day. On the day of your Taster Day you will meet the Head of Hericrèche and be given a small tour of the unit and our Infant Department while your child settles in for the day.

For your child they start by meeting the class teacher and assistance and most importantly the class and will spend the day following the class timetable.  Children from Crawlers to Toddlers are also informally assessed by the teacher during the day. Although we aim to take a broad selection of pupils we wish to ensure that both your child and our existing pupils will be able to learn effectively together in the classroom.

Following the Taster Day we notify parents as soon as possible whether or not their child is to be offered a place at Hericrèche. In the case of over subscription we will let you know there is a waiting list and keep you informed as and when a place arises.

Our current pupils are always delighted to welcome a new child to the Hericrèche and we look forward to meeting your child on their Taster Day.

In advance of a Taster Day you will be asked to complete a Pupil Information Form which will helps us to make the most of the day that your child spends at Hericrèche.
